The Shearer’s Quarters Guest Lounge & Event Venue
Welcome to The Shearer’s Quarters; a former Officer’s Mess brought to the property after World War II. Used for many years to house the station’s shearing teams, this space now offers a truly unique event venue for corporate events, destination weddings, private celebrations and retreats.
Hosting up to 100 guests seated or 120 cocktail style, The Shearer’s Quarters is an incredibly unique event venue. The hall offers guests a vintage chesterfield lounge area, fully licensed bar with dancefloor under the stars in addition to an extensive dining space. The lounge also features an antique pianola and gramophone. Guests can relax with a French Press or Espresso coffee, a range of teas, chilled beverages and snacks available all day. With an outdoor covered deck on the western end and a huge dancefloor deck under the stars with a fire pit, we undoubtedly have your event space covered!
Full catering services are provided by The Cocky’s Wife. Angie and her team craft rustic fine dining dishes, evoking a nostalgic warmth. Their dedication to paddock-to-plate dining is at the forefront of every creation. Enjoy a culinary journey showcasing the homestead’s seasonal, organic produce presented with innovation and in particular passion for the land.
Delight in homemade sourdough crafted from stone-milled wheat grown on-site. Savor grass-fed station lamb, heirloom fruits and vegetables along with handmade delicacies. With 15 years event catering expertise, The Cocky’s Wife delivers an unforgettable dining experience.
Telstra mobile reception and wifi is available at the Shearer’s Quarters event venue. Laundry and ironing services are also available on request.
The Original Woolshed
For private group dining, small events or canapes after your wedding ceremony, we have our beautiful original woolshed. Built in the late 1800s, this building is oozing nostalgic character. The Woolshed provides the perfect backdrop for a very special dining experience, wedding photoshoot or even as an intimate event venue!
