Our Stay and Play packages include one three hour hosted farm tour each day exploring a different aspect of farm life. These tours are guided by fourth generation owner of the property Mike Armstrong. Mike has a degree in Agri-Finance and an unparalleled passion for the land. Be sure to come armed with lots of questions!
Jump aboard our trusty Landcruiser Troop Carrier and explore the red dirt tracks of outback Australia with us. You will be sure to see kangaroos and of course plenty of sheep! If you are lucky you might spy some emus, echidnas, goannas, foxes, rabbits and pigs! Stroll through the hand chiselled timbers of our original 1800s ‘Callubri’ woolshed. Mike will expertly relay the rich history of Merino wool production and our involvement in the Responsible Wool Standard program. A relaxing journey awaits, wandering through our cropping fields and lamb paddocks immersed in nature.
Our morning farm tour finishes in a secluded pine forest. Here you will discover a luxurious two course picnic lunch with drinks and music! The pinnacle of our afternoon tour is sundowner drinks and canapes at ‘The Lookout’ with never ending views across the property. Each day you will have a few spare hours to laze by the pool, explore our walking tracks, throw in a fishing line or join Angie for a tour of the kitchen gardens!
As our property is booked exclusively for your group, we are happy to tailor a bespoke itinerary to suit. For group bookings we offer activities in painting and sketching, wire sculpture, Indigenous basket weaving and smoking ceremonies, yoga and well being, land energies and traditional cooking and baking. Morning Farm Tour and A Ploughman’s Picnic (9.30am – 12.30pm)
Time to get your bearings across our 28,000-acre station! Before we head bush, wander up to the Shearer’s Quarters to grab a cup of tea or coffee and some home baked goods for the trip! After morning tea, jump aboard as we fire up the old Landcruiser and traverse the rugged tracks to show you our beautiful corner of the world.
Today’s adventure will take in our cropping fields and the machinery we use to sow and harvest our grain. Mike will guide you from paddock to plate through the soil preparation, weed management, harvesting, storage, transport and sale of our crops.
Our tour culminates with a visit to a secluded pine forest, where a hearty ploughman’s picnic lunch, drinks, music and relaxation awaits!
Afternoon Farm Experience and The Lookout Sundowners (3pm – 6pm)
Station life changes with the seasons and the only routine is daily adventure! Are you ready to get your bearings across our 28,000-acre station? After a quick briefing, we’ll rev up the trusty Landcruiser Troop Carrier. Embark on a journey through the illustrious history of Merino wool production, from the sheep’s back to the final garment.
Our tour starts with a stroll through the historic woolshed, built by hand in the late 1800s. We’ll meander through livestock paddocks to our new woolshed at Euloglen, halfway across the property.
Our adventure culminates with sundowners at ‘The Lookout’. Cast your eyes over hundreds of kilometers of the Western Plains at our most popular spot for sunset photos. Enjoy a refreshing sundowner beverage and farewell another stunning outback day.
